Is Musolist actually free?
Yes. Posting is free, replying is free, browsing is free, profiles are free. We do not have a paid tier and we are not building one.
The whole pitch
Musolist is a free, no-algorithm classifieds service for musicians. The whole thing is: you post what you need (or what you can play), other musicians read it, they email you, you start a band.
We are not a streaming service. We are not a label. We are not a social network. We are not a tool for industry recruiters. We are a wall of paper flyers, on the internet, that does not try to keep you scrolling.
It costs us very little to run, and that is why it can stay free. If the bill ever gets big enough that we have to ask for money, we will, but it is not going to come from ads or data or paid promotion.

Musicians. We do not take outside money. The site runs on cheap hosting and our own time.
Algorithms exist to keep you on a site longer than is good for you. We want you on Musolist for five minutes, then in a garage rehearsing.
Hit reply on the listing. Your email is relayed to them via Musolist. They see your address only when they respond.
Passwords get reused, leaked, and forgotten. A link in your inbox is less work for you and less risk for everyone.
Thirty days. Renew once if it is still open. Forces the wall to stay fresh.
No. Musolist is for musicians finding musicians. If you are A&R, this is not the site for you.
