Olympia riot grrrl

Chainsaw. Bikini Kill zine. MRR.

Riot grrrl was deliberately non-commercial — its recruitment was zines, not classifieds. So this wing is built differently: Donna Dresch's queercore call-outs in Chainsaw, Kathleen Hanna's "Revolution Girl-Style Now" in Bikini Kill #2, a Maximumrocknroll listing for the first Yoyo a Gogo. Less classified ads than ignition points, but the function was the same: come find us, come play.
